The Albany Independent Agricultural Society operates as a membership-based organization governed by an annually elected board of 18 directors. Any society member is eligible to run for a director position, provided they have purchased an annual membership at least 15 calendar days before the election and have submitted a petition—signed by a minimum of 10 society members in good standing—at least seven days prior to the election. Elections are conducted annually on the first Saturday in November at the Secretary's Office from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
